We are standing in the foyer space. We actually did not do a lot of work here, but we have this beautiful original railing detail, really beefy handrail, and custom balusters that you’re not going to find off the shelf today.
When we did the addition, we reconfigured a stair in the back. You’ll notice that these newel posts, the handrail profile, and even the balusters all match perfectly to that original front stair, albeit slightly taller so it meets modern-day codes.
