We are in front of a project we just completed in Winnetka. The house was built in the early 1900s. It was actually one of four original houses in this part of town.
It’s a shingle style, with some brick accents and detailing. It’s very large and stately, kind of your classic original North Shore house.
We did some updates on the interior to the family room and kitchen spaces.
We also did an addition, reconfiguring a mudroom and giving them a three-car garage, which was much needed for the family of this size who occupies a house of this size.
We took a lot of care in matching the details from the original house to the addition. So hopefully, you can’t actually tell that this was an addition—and that means we’ve done our job!
