I am Nicole Ducar. I am an architect with Scott Simpson Design + Build and we are here at one of our most recently completed projects. It is a new single family home on a glorious site.
A client came to us with a very specific design aesthetic in mind and a vibe that she was trying to create in the house. We sat down together, we found the through line, of what tied these different images together, and that became our design direction. Our slabs, our tile, our cabinets, and our lighting created some very interesting vignettes throughout the house.
Then from room to room, all the materials hang together in a really pleasing palette. So I think that was a really useful tool. It is time-consuming, but it is well worth it in the long run.
