Design Trends 2024

Our incredible Director of Sales and Project Coordination, Paige Wenk, has curated a list of design trends she’s forecasting for 2024. From furnishings to colors to styles, swipe to explore what 2024 has in store for the design-build world.

  1. Earth tones, terracotta, warmer beiges, plush pinks, creamy whites tones are in… while gray and cooler tones are out! Though – an array of blues may be featured more prominently in decorative materials and housewares in the coming year.
  2. Bringing natural elements inside the home, such as wood, stone, clay tiles, plants. Here’s a great example on Sheridan Road in Winnetka.
  3. Home offices are here to stay with full rooms over just nooks.
  4. Minimalist style is favored for trim and other finishing details.
  5. Elevating, outdoor living spaces will continue, including three-season rooms with Nana walls, second-story rooftops and balconies.
  6. Soft furnishings like L-shaped loungers and sofas are hot, ruffle trim is being added to pillows and ottomans and gingham is back.
  7. Using antiques among modern design, to fill in smaller spaces and elevate the charm in a home.

Here’s a look at one of the more recent home style trends – Modern Tudor – with architect Amy Berka.
