Award-winning Craftsman Winnetka – Staircase
Inspired by the original house staircase this cherry staircase is a beautiful example of an arts & crafts style home in this custom residential design-build.

We had attempted to reuse parts of the staircase from the original house, but with the way that the stair was constructed, it was only like this tall. And so reusing the spindles and things wasn’t going to be possible. But we did take inspiration from the original house staircase and try to replicate the finishes with like properly-sized pieces for today’s code. I did it all in cherry again to continue that rich, wood theme and traditional feel of the house.
