So, this is impressive space, right? It’s 18 feet tall. This is a basement that has two levels. One is 9-feet tall, and this one’s 18-feet tall. This is the batting space, basketball play area. When we’re done, we’ll put mats all around the walls, and then we’ll carpet the walls, and then you’ll be able to play baseball in here. We’ve got glass up there so people can actually spectate. We have a balcony up there so you can actually yell down to your friends as you’re going.
It’s deep. You have to have big, huge pumps to keep the basement dry. So, we have a mechanical room up there with four commercial pumps that pumps the water out because we’re below the water table here. We had to dig the hole way outside of the foundation wall so we didn’t have a collapse. We wanted to make sure we had windows in there so it didn’t feel like a subterranean space. We need some type of like natural light. That caused us to build another window well behind there and railing and stuff. So yeah, this is, and we have a separate furnace for the space. All kinds of fun stuff.
