I’m TJ with Scott Simpson Design Build. We’re standing in about a 10,000 square foot house here in Northbrook in the front foyer and the homeowner really wanted a grand entry to their house. So, behind me the electricians are putting up it’s about a nine-foot tall overall light fixture that’s going to hang from the dome in the ceiling. They’ve got a lime wash finish to kind of look like a Roman clay, almost like your cathedral finish. Because the light fixture is so big here, you know, if a light bulb goes out or you want to clean the fixture, it’s really difficult to get to the ceilings. Twenty-two foot to the top ceiling of the second floor, plus the four foot to the dome. So you’re almost at 30 feet by the time you get all the way to the ceiling. So we wanted a way to bring this light fixture down to us. So hidden over here in a piece of cabinetry, we actually have a little switch that controls a winch that’s up in the attic that will lower this down so we can get access to the light fixture.
