We’re in a house here in Highland Park. This is about a 5,600 square foot new build. So, here we are in the primary bedroom, and as you can see, fully exposed to the outside. But also, as you can see, our friend John here is working on the chimney. So, they’re in the process of building this up. It’ll get to the roof. We’ll have the roofers come back. We’ll tighten it up. We’ll get the roof on, and this will be all hidden behind drywall. In the primary bedroom, we have 15-foot-1 finished ceilings. Our lights, our speakers, our sprinkler heads are all spaced so that they come in the center per code. There’s a lot of… behind the scenes that goes into the placement of what needs to be in the room when you’re doing a lot of beams like this.
In bath three, and over there you can actually see into bed three, which also carries a barrel ceiling. And you can see here it’s framed all the way across so we can get drywall, but in the middle, there isn’t a stud, but also in the middle you can see that light fixture. And we want to make sure that light fixtures, sprinkler heads, anything that might be hanging from the center of a barrel ceiling gets centered perfectly, otherwise it’ll hang a little crooked, the escutcheon might not sit flush at the top, and it won’t look architecturally correct.
We’re in the primary bathroom. We’ve got an attic access here that is still undetermined if it’s gonna be an exercise room, arts and crafts room, a sauna, ice bath, we’re not really sure. Either way, we’re gonna insulate it. So, here we are, we have the insulators in here. They already did the closed cell foam insulation, and now they’re finishing up cleaning up the rafters from the open cell. Blows up a lot, so sometimes it actually comes out past the rafters. So, we’ve got to shave it down, and that’s what you can see our guys doing here. All right, that’s all I have for today, but drywall stock is in the next two weeks, so we’ve got another video coming soon. This place is going to look different. We’re happy to see you next time.
